The last of vacation

I apologize for not keeping up with the day to day activities of vacation but after a long night at WonderWorks with Alyse...I was pooped!

Here are the last few days and activities of our great vacation in Gatlinburg!

This day we had yummy yummy pancakes at the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg and after a small round of mini golf with Jason and Alyse, we decided to get a bit of nature.  We headed in to the Smoky Mountain National Park to allow the girls to stick their toes in the water ;)

After the trip to the park we headed back in to Pigeon Forge to try out WonderWorks. An interesting looking place... http://www.wonderworkstn.com/
It was a really cool place but there was big lines for most of the exhibits and lots of people.  And few things that Alyse was too small to do.  But it was still fun!  They had a section for a Space Challenger Walk thingy.  You were suspended in the air (with a harness) and you were to walk across ropes and blocks in the air.  Almost like an obstacle course.  Well of course we wore sandals and flip flops so we weren't able to do it.  We left and headed back to the cabin for Kaylee to take a little nap then headed back with our tennis shoes.  We we arrived back at WWs there was a two hour wait.  Needless to say, Butler played at 9pm so we weren't going to wait.  We stopped for dinner and headed home.  But after laying Kaylee down to bed and getting Daddy settled for the game, Alyse and I headed back for one last chance at the Space Challenger Walk.  We ended up waiting 45min but we finally got to do it.  It was super cool! :)

Daddy thought he was hilarious ;)
Alyse got to lay on a Bed of Nails, literally...

Here, they had a huge wall for wall-painting.  They would touch the wall and it would change colors, pretty cool!

And the Bubble section or what Kaylee would call, balls!

The next day, we took Alyse to the Gem Mine.  I figured she like it since she's into finding treasures and jewels.  We pretty much bought a bag of dirt for her to sift and dig through.  But instead of find rocks and pepples, she gets to find real gems....rubies, fools gold, emeralds...the whole shabang.  She thought it was pretty cool!

I couldn't help myself but to take more pictures of God's artwork...

We also went to Ripley's Aquarium after another round of pancakes from the Pancake Pantry.  Always a cool place to visit.

 Seahorses, Mommy's favorites!

 Scary sharks in the tunnel...

 Going through the tunnel...
  school of tiny yellow fish

Alyse was trying to work up the courage to pick up this nasty looking crab :)

 Jellyfish
And Kaylee and I crawling through the penquin tunnel at the Penquin Playhouse.
 Watching the penquins swim around...

Alyse really wanted to touch a sting ray but none of them came close enough.

Overall, we had a really nice time and are very blessed we were able to take this vacation together.  Can't wait to do it again!!
