Cookies & Canvas

I am always looking for new and different things for Alyse and I do to together and I happened upon this event.  It is through a company called Wine & Canvas.  They are professional artists that hold a mini art lesson.  You pick the date and the picture you'd like to paint and they provide everything else.  It was actually quite neat.  I was really impresssed!  We met a friend of mine from good ol' 5/3rd Bank and her daughter (whom we've not seen in a long time!) for breakfast and then headed over to paint!
Blank canvas, getting ready to begin...
 Alyse and Madison!

Of course, I had to do one for Kaylee Bug :)
All of the kids in the session.
As they were walking up for their picture, Alyse bumped into another girl and it happened to be her softball coach's daughter, MacKenzie!
 The finished products!

Fun stuff!!
Kaylee's new found love for the pool is hilarious!  She wants to get in the "watee" all of the time.  Here's a few pictures that I was able to snap quickly before she splashed my camera.

Pretty sure this kid is gonna be a fish one day :)
She has also decided that she needs to talk to people on the phone.   So she went and got my cell phone off the table, brought it to me, and said "talka daddy".  She wanted to talk to Daddy.  So she did!

Johnson County Fair

Yes, we are those crazy people that attempted to go to the fair.  I love the fair...the food, the atmosphere, the lights at night, and the rides.  Always have great memories from when I was younger hanging out with friends at the fairs!  So Nana and I tried to take Kaylee today but needless to say, it didn't last long.  It was way too hot!
Eating some french fries!

Her obsession with balls is finally paying off.  Yes ladies and gentleman, it is a fish.  She threw her ping pong ball and it landed in a fish bowl.  What are the chances!! :)  And she loves her "fishy"...keeps trying to squeeze it!
She then wanted to see the horses on the carousel but once we got on, she didn't want to ride.

And that was about it.  We came, we ate, we rode, and we left!  And we left with a "fishy"!

Tomorrow, we hit the pool!!

Cousins

Sweet baby cousins....Kaylee and Cadence are almost exactly 10 months apart.  Kaylee, being attached to her Nana, has extreme jealousy issues when it comes to Cadence being around.  :)  So their time spent together is normally crazy and chaotic!  One of them is either hungry, tired, crabby, or crying.  It seems that having them both in good moods is harder than what we thought.  (Kaylee mostly!)  But mom stopped by today with Cadence and Kaylee thought she was the coolest baby in the world!  "Baby! Baaaabbby!!  Get you....baby!"  Kaylee wanted to hold her.  So we sat them both on the couch to make Kaylee feel like she was holding her.  It was hilarious!!
Here we go!

Kaylee held on to her shoulder most of the time, patting her, saying "baby"

"Baby, I wanna tell you somethin' "

Cadence decided to get Kaylee and started patting her leg.  Kaylee thought it was funny! :)

Then she reached for her face to feel her :)  So cute!

Kaylee then wanted Cadence doggie...
But she gave it back and a couple of kisses!

"I wanna hold you!"

Aww...the beginning of a sweet friendship!
