Easter 2011

Easter...such an awesome time.  Let me start by saying that so many times the true reason of Easter and what it stands for is so quickly overlooked by the creation of the Easter Bunny, chocolates, eggs, and ruffled dresses...myself included.  But the importance is somewhat overwhelming.  Our Savior, Jesus Christ, was crucified...murdered, killed, mocked, and tortured.  And for who...me.  Me and you and every other follower in this place we call Earth.  For our mistakes and transgressions that occur on a daily basis.  Wow, how grateful we should be.  God's love is never ending, so much so, that He gave His only son to die.  And today He rose again!  I don't know about you but that is definitely something to think about.

Our Easter weekend started off with some good ol' fashioned egg coloring!  Always fun however extremely messy!

We had to take a small break to eat some pizza and let them dry.  Poor Kaylee was battling a sinus infection and more teeth :(  Her little eyes were a little swollen...but never to sick to pass up pizza!

 And then the finished product...glitter eggs!  (and exactly what do you do with them after its over?!?!)

Sunday morning started off with scrambled eggs and biscuits followed by Easter baskets.  Man the Easter Bunny hooked it up this year!!

 And no, she's not in pain just really excited about the "smelly" pencils.  (scented)

 But the balls have not been replaces...they will always be her first true love :)

We then headed to church for an awesome service as always.  http://experiencefriendship.com/messages/
And then to Uncle Will's for lunch and an indoor egg hunt for the girls!  Or in Kaylee's terms, "balls".

 Kaylee was showing us her teeth.  It was the only way to get her to look in the direction of the camera.

After lunch we crawled around, played, and relaxed before started the "ball hunt" :)

 Kaylee found a tree outside of the window with "balls" hanging from it.  I'm pretty sure she stood there knocking on the window and talking to the balls for an hour.  She had to show everyone that she saw them so Aunt Shirley was looking too :)

So we are beginning the egg hunt and Cadence wanted to eat her bucket and Kaylee wanted to wear hers as a hat.  Alyse was excited she was gonna find them all, no competition!

(and yes, we used buckets instead of baskets because Mommy forgot the baskets at home)

And now we are following Daddy to go open all of the eggs...

 Daddy was giving her a little candy but then he put it away, "where'd go??"



Amy and I got matching aprons from Will & Shirley...too cute, thank you Shirley!!  I've never had an apron before, makes me feel cool!  Now if I could only cook better.

And Cadence was kinda over the whole Egg Hunt/Baby Food hunt so she decided to chill...

After the excited settled down we attempted to get a picture of the three girls...didn't work out so well but guess we'll try again!!

(ok, Kaylee turn around...Cadence, put down the shovel)

 This is about as close as we are gonna get!!

After about 30 attempts...Alyse was over it!!  But then the other two hams were cutting up...but not before one last kiss for Sissy!

 "Kaylee, if you hug me one more time...I'm gonna eat you!"



I attempted a picture with my baby girl but all she wanted was the "baby"...not momma!

 And then someone wanted to be like the baby and sit in the Bumbo seat...didn't work so well.  She got stuck and them embarrassed :)

What a great day!!
