Girls only Dinner!

Not too much happening in the Edgar household lately.
But Kaylee and I did join mom, Amy, and baby Cadence for a Girls Only dinner :)  Always humorous with young children.  You just never know what's gonna happen!  We met at Target for a quick shop stop and then headed over to Cheeseburger in Paradise.  Always yummy!  Here's a few pics from our evening!

(Cadence)"So, Kaylee...what is that huge pink thing on your head?" -- laid back chick
(Kaylee)"Well, like...it's a super cool bow, duh...like whatever!"--high maintenance diva
Cadence wants to color!

 Kaylee, dipping in ranch.

Not so amused at me taking pictures! Love ya Sis!

So Kaylee had a strange meltdown at the table because something was hurting her mouth.  Still not so sure what happened whether she has a sore in her mouth or what.  But after the meltdown, Nana held her and Cadence went back to Mommy.  She was really telling her something good!

 (Kaylee) "Nana, Nana...glasses glasses!"
 "Nose!!!"

Pretty sure she was getting ready to take the camera out of my hands.  Every time it flashed she jumped.  Sorry Cadence, love you!!

And once again we failed to get a decent picture of Kaylee and I.

The girls in their seats to go home.  You can tell by their faces what kind of evening it was for both of them! :)

Poor Kaylee hasn't been sleeping well.  She has gotten up the past two nights screaming.  Not sure of the cause unfortunately.  I am assuming that she is working on more teeth.  All the signs are pointing in that direction.  She has had a horrible time with teeth.  So when we got home, I let her sit outside for a few minutes...she absolutely loves being outside!
We came in after she began handing me every little rock and pebble that she found. :)

Happy St. Patty's Day tomorrow!!  Kaylee and I will be surprising Alyse at school tomorrow for lunch.  She'll be shocked!!  That's it for now!!  Byebye!

Just a few things...

This morning we wrapped up a long weekend with Jason's grandparents at Cracker Barrel.  Always yummy!  They came out Friday and spent the weekend with us.  Always nice to have them in town!

Here's a few pictures from this evening.  I made meatloaf, green beans, and baked potatoes for dinner, yum yum!
Kaylee was a little curious as to what we were eating...

While dinner was cooking, I proceeded to show Alyse how to clean the bathroom.  No huge details but at least this way she can help me a little!  Granted its a little hard when your baby sister wants to be with you all of the time :)

And after cleaning the bathroom, Daddy read a few passages from scripture to Alyse.  Kaylee became distracted by Sissy laundry hamper.
And then got stuck!

All in all, a pretty nice weekend!  Now, back to the grind and routine!

Day 5 and the trek home!

For our last day of vacation we stayed at home and swam and did a little shopping.  Of course towards the end of the trip Kaylee really started enjoying the "bath" or in grown up terms, the pool.  She was a splashing machine!  (by the way, Kaylee's eye was much much better!)  "And forget the bathing suit Mama, I NAKED!"

Splash splash splash!!!  Sorry Nana, watch out!!!

In the boat we go...
 Splash Aunt Shirley!
 Splash Uncle Will!

After lots of swim time, it was time to crash.  And with my daughter's strange obession for balls, we slept with a ping pong ball that she somehow found from the way from the pool to the bedroom.  Needless to say, it was still in her hand when she woke!  So not the greatest picture but you get the point.
After our little nap, Aunt Shirley needed Kaylee's help tearing apart a puzzle that they had been working on for a few days.  It was a "devil puzzle" that was extremely difficult.  I think they were happy to see it put away.  And Kaylee was happy to help!

"Look Mama, a tree!"

 And her favorite spot!
We attempted to show her how to play air hockey, didn't really work.
 Kiss me!

She was watching Nina's Fables from Sprout and she looked so little, had to take a picture.
A little bit close there Kaylee!

We settled down for the night with her bath and pj's...but not before she found Nana's bathing suit which she continued to put around her neck and crawl around with.  She thought she was so cool!

Uncle Will was showing Kaylee what it was time for...."night night time Kaylee, night night"

The trek home and saying good bye to the Bradenton house!
At the Tampa airport they had kid areas which were fabulous!  I think it should be something at every airport.  Letting the little ones get down to crawl and play is necessary for travel!!!

After the 2 hour flight, which is did soooo good on...the little girl was pooped.  She had a little dinner and an early bath by 5:30.  I fixed her a bottle and handed her to her very missed Daddy and within in minutes...this is what we saw.  :)  One tired little girl and one very happy Daddy!

Thank you Uncle Will, Aunt Shirley, and Nana for letting us hang out with you for a few days.  It was great!
