Day 1 - Gatlinburg, TN

All I can say is...God is good.  He is gracious and ever giving.  Since Jason and I have been married we have yet to be able to take a honey moon or even a vacation until now.  With Jason's job we have been able to do a lot that we never thought we'd be able to do.  It always seemed like such a long shot for us to take a vacation, let alone take the girls.
This is our first family vacation ever!  And it's to one of my favorite places, Gatlinburg TN.  I'm not exactly sure why I feel it is one of my favorites.  I have thought about this lot the past day or so.  But then I look around and am amazed at God's work.  It is an absolute masterpiece!  The enormous size of these mountains are insane.  They almost don't look real.  I find myself just wanting to stare and soak it in.  You just don't get views like these in good ol' Indiana!!!  And to think our awesome God created this overwhelming portrait of the Great Smoky Mountains exactly how he wanted...he planted them, one by one.  How stinkin' cool is that?!?!?!
These are a couple quick shots from our cabin. They aren't the best but it was 8am and only 32 degrees out!! I was freezing!

I cooked breakfast this morning and we took our time.  But after the long morning we made our way into town to show Alyse true Gatlinburg.  I don't think she was excited as Daddy and I but she's getting there.  We drove up and down the strip searching for parking to make our way to a couple activities.  We first landed at the always entertaining Sky Lift.  Truthfully, I didn't think Kaylee would be able to right, but they said of course but she had to be held...obviously!  So I cuddled with her on the way up and Daddy on the way down.  (I'll scan pictures when we get home.)  Here are a couple not so perfect, quick shots from the ride.
On the way up...

And on the way down!

After riding the Sky Lift we walked around a bit.  Of course Kaylee spotted EVERY round object or in her words "ball"... from Indiana to Tennessee and while walking around she found a big ball!  Needless to say she was happy :)

And some how between the big yellow ball (tennis ball trash can) and the next block which was Ripley's Believe It Or Not to see another big ball...she lost her hair bow.  :(  Super sad about it!  Not sure that she really cared though.  All she cared about was touching the big wet ball.

We headed back down the street to Ripley's Mirror Maze and Candy Shop.  I was actually really impressed!  You could really get messed up in a place like that...crazy confusing!  I attempted to take a picture but I'm not sure you can get the real affect.

So we decided to leave the stroller out and just carry Kaylee.  I'm not sure what I was thinking because she started to freak out when we got in the maze.  Stupid Mommy!!  Can't believe I took her in a mirror maze and then thought I was going to get out quickly!  Duh!!!!  That's the whole point of a maze!!!  But luckily it didn't take but a few minutes for us to find the exit and Daddy and Alyse stayed in.  :)  Quite humorous!

More pictures to come of the cabin and area....love you all!!
