The 2011 softball season has started for Alyse. Again with Coach Randy whom is fabulous with the girls. She had her first game yesterday and the girls were anxiously awaiting their new jerseys. Every year that she has played softball or any sport that is, we have lucked out with jersey color. We've had white (with white pants which sparked a team name such as the Mighty Marshmallows), plain blue, yucky yellow and a variety of other boring colors. And if you know me, I would prefer a cute girly color such as pink or purple. Which are floating around the league by the way!! So this year we get maroon. Maroon...really? A couple of the girls came up with the name "Maroon Baboons". Do you think they really know what a baboon is or do they think its a cute little cuddly monkey????
Do we tell them that they are hideous, scary looking, hairy, mean, big teethed kind of monkeys with bald butts????
Naaaaaaaaa! Wouldn't want to crush their spirits :)
Alyse did great at her first game. You can really tell the improvement year to year. Her hitting has greatly improved!
She got to play catcher! She hates wearing the pads, but loves being in the action ;)
